Opportunity to serve

We are here on earth to SERVE, not for personal gain, for accumulation of material possessions or for name and fame.
Many people realise this and would like to serve but do not the opportunity to serve.
Opportunity to serve is independent of the constraints of time and space.
Opportunities to serve are all around us (and within us too) where ever we may be on the face of the earth and at any time of day and night.
To serve is our mission assigned to us by our creator. How then can it fail to provide the opportunities too?
The same principle applies to resources to serve. The creator has provided the resources in abundance. The trouble is that we are looking for the wrong kind of things and in the wrong places.
To serve we don't have to go to some far of place. The opportunities are there all around us all the time.
We don't need funds but we waste time and energy in fund raising and in doing all the book keeping.
We don't need an organisation. An army of one is more than enough yet we waste time and energy in building and running an organisation. We approach the Government and others to provide grants, land and legitimacy. So they set up regulatory mechanisms, like the charity commissioner. More than 2/3 rd. of the time and resources are spent on preparing reports for their scrutiny.
What kind of srvice is this?
Let us ask ourselves whether we clear of our mission (the nature of service) and the field of action.
This clarity will answer all questions and will remove all doubt.
Our creator has fully equipped us for the mission.
Let us get on with the job.
Amen.
