Presence often refers to the physical presence of a person. This is the first error we make in dealing with people and situations that ties us down to the physical/material plane. To draw upon our spiritual heritage and wisdom we need to realize that we are much more than our bodies.
Then we would realize that honesty, loyalty and such other qualities are universal and are not bound by a particular time and space or culture.
Our behaviour then, would be the same whether a person is physically present or not and would be independent of cultural taboos and stereotypes.
