Conflict

Feeling tongue tied,
In the presence of someone famous,
shows conflict
between your desire to impress
and the desire to listen
with the first dominating.

Being silent and humble
is not a sign of weakness
but of openness and love.
It is pointless to fight the harsh social realities,
when we have better things to do.

Compliments

When I am complimented for an act i have done,
I say, "thank you. I will pass this on to the head office."
No obligation, no gratitude.
The slate remains as clean, as virgin as before.

Being Graeful

Morning here is wet and windy
the rain comes off and on
the farmers get busy
tilling and sowing
and the city bred
curse the water logging.

Such is the subjective response
of the stupid human
to nature's bountiful gifts.

Let us be grateful
and sing and dance
to nature's cadence.

Going Wild

Music is always in the well
rhythm and harmony in every cell
no excuse needed
to sing and dance.
If being happy is going wild
then let me never be mild.

Let us not get bogged down
by classical names.
They squeeze out the juices
and leave behind fossilised bones.

sharing

What appears to be mine;
my wisdom, my thoughts, my feelings,
are but reflections
of the cosmic reality.
The moon reflected in the lake
does not belong to the lake.
It appears serene
as long as the surface of the lake
is calm, undisturbed.
Knowing this Truth
We share freely and abundantly
and the cosmic bounty
is ours to looto and lutao.

Shrinking and growing
are tricks of the closeted mind.

Threshold

There are no thresholds in nature.
They are a myth created by our fears,
our tendency to hold on to the past.
Once we realise this,
we are in a free and open territory.
There are no walls, no doors and no thresholds.
We are free to follow the call of nature.

Holistic Being

If we choose the metaphor of taste to describe a person,
then let us remember that there are six primary tastes;
sweet, sour, salty, bitter, spicy and tangy.
A holistic personal would display
multiple permutations and combination of these six.
He/she/it would not be just sweet.

Love

Love has opened my eyes to the TRUTH.
I cannot thank it enough for this wonderful gift.

Enough

If we see the world
as a conglomeration of lifeless objects,
then it is never enough.
If we can sense the creator
behind the creation (the world)
then nothing else is needed.
